just found out, My "Aunt" Diana committed suicide last night. They have been family friends since before I was born. She left behind her ex husband (they got along better these last 10 years divorced than married) 3 children and 3 grandchildren. The two families boated together and hunted and camped in the Everglades. They were close to my parents as best friends.
She had a Bachelors in Social Work just like me. We used to have great talks. Thing is, she used to think that suicide was the cruelest thing a person could do considering all the options that were out there. She had so many options. I dont understand but then again no one ever does.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers for both families because we are all messed up.(more than usual...)

Thanks . Still have no answers or clues other than she shot herself. She was an active mom and grandma...

I have made 40 something crepes for GAs tonight, bedroom stuff, cleaned kitchen, have my grocery list together, talked on the phone too much and only have to do the floors but I dont want to so I thought i would just come on here and see what is up since I am running out of things to do and want to stay busy. Now what to do.

AND Totty has been missing since yesterday mid morning. Son's are not doing well with that. David and Perry did not really know Aunt Diana. Totty has id on her. Sam came back home after thier illegal walkabout.

no but she is plastered on Craigs list, SPCA, humane Society and animal control.

Humane Society did give us some hope... When she found out that Totty was part Jack Russell she said "was Totty hard headed and very independent?"

I said " extremely, it took us just till recently to get her trained to do things our way! and not hers. lol"

The lady said " because, and I hope this didnt happen, that someone took your dog, often the strongwill wears out the best of looks and personality and people take them to the shelters. So put up lots of posters to let others know she is missed and check with Animal Control daily."

So there is a bit of hope.I have printed 8x10 glossy's to attach to the posters. Her wanted posters will go all over our street and intersections.

On the AUnt note, Other family issues getting resolved today so I will be on more tomorrow or this weekend... hate the details part/ feeling helpless.

Tots return would sure cheer up this family. HA we used to threaten to find her a new home and now that she is away we are all out of whack. She is more demanding than Allie the princess.

Leah, I'm so sorry. This has certainly been a rough week for you.

I'm wondering if your aunt found out something medically about herself, ie cancer or something and didn't tell anyone. I had an instructor do that once. But like you said, often no one will ever know. Lost an aunt and a cousin to suicide, and it's rough.


I hope Totty's alright and comes back.

THose were intentional heartstring pullers in case someone thought they could steal my pup! we have had Totty sightings. Dh hopes a hunter didnt find her and take her to make a hunting dog out of her! BWahahaahahha will that guy have his hands full not to mention unless you are a cat she doesnt hunt! lol
